I obtained my Maple Card in January 2005, did not live in Canada except short time stay.   Last July when I arrived at Vancouver Airport, Immigration warned that my time of living Canada is not enough and I shall stay in Canada.  However I had to return to US for job.

Now, I am going to Vancouver to visit my husband who lives there upon Maple Card.  Will I be able to enter?  If not, will I be able to apply and obtain visit visa at Immigration right away?  Any suggestions?

Thank you very much!

Are you saying your residency (maple card) has expired?  I believe you need to spend 3 out of 5 years in Canada to maintain it so if you received yours in January 2005 and have been outside of Canada since then that will exceed the 3 year minimum.

You should be able to arrive as a normal visitor though.
